SETTLEFISH SU PRONTI AL PEGGIO
Abbiamo incuriosito Beppe Maniglia e fatto concorrenza ad alcuni colleghi in piazza maggiore.
Siamo saliti, suonando, sulla torre degli asinelli constatando che Jonathan ha polmoni da nuotatore ed Emilio da tisico.
Giunti in cima abbiamo improvvisato un mini concerto per degli increduli turisti guardando la città dal basso.
Tutto inciso su cassetta!
Un grazie speciale ad Andrea Girolami e ai Ragazzi della prateria.

Words about Us (Random Review)
Six feet over underDire che Oh Dear! sia il disco italiano del mese è senz’altro riduttivo, anche perché non fregherebbe a nessuno. Sicuramente il nuovo album dei Settlefish gode di un respiro internazionale che spesso manca ai dischi dei gruppi di casa nostra. Si sente che di strada ne hanno fatta tanta, sia musicalmente che in fatto di kilometraggio, in giro per l’Europa e il Nord America. Le influenze della scuola di Chicago (Cap’n Jazz e derivati) che permeavano gli album precedenti, qui lasciano un po’ il passo a dei nuovi orizzonti musicali, sicuramente molto più ampi. Si passa dagli Explosion In The Sky ai Modest Mouse, a mio avviso. La parte del leone come sempre la fanno la voce di Johnatan Clancy, riconoscibile tra mille e le chitarre che sono da bava alla bocca. Questo disco costituisce sicuramente un’evoluzione importante per i cinque bolognesi: elettronica e synth acquistano un ruolo molto più rilevante che in precedenza e pezzi come Summer Drops lo testimoniano alla perfezione. Alla bellezza di Oh Dear! aggiungete dei live tiratissimi dall’inizio alla fine e poi unite tutti i puntini. Ecc... continue ...
